Joe joined C-TRIC in April 2024. Joe holds a BSc in Biomedical Sciences and a PhD in Microbiology, specialising in DNA-based tools for studying bacteria in skin health and disease. Along with years of academic research experience post-PhD, he has substantial experience in bacterial culture, identification, antibiotic susceptibility testing, biofilm analysis and bacterial 16S rRNA NGS sequencing. Joe has a wealth of experience in multiple wet lab techniques such as nucleic acid and protein extraction, PCR, RT-qPCR, Western blotting, ELISA, and cell culture techniques. Joe is the C-TRIC subject matter expert in flow cytometry, having extensive experience in sample preparation, quality control, data acquisition and analysis.
